A little about me.

My name is Tiffany Rose. I'm from Brockton, MA. I come from a big, loving family and I am the oldest. As a kid I spent a lot of time with my cousins. One of my favorite memories was when we'd bother my grandpa as he did work around the yard. We'd sneak into the chicken coupe, mess with the chickens and he'd chase us around the house.

Today I work a lot and I'm fully unhappy with my job. I realized I am ready to move on and give myself the happy, promising future I deserve. I know I'll have to work harder than I ever have before. I'm going to make some sacrifices but I need to be happier in what I do. I want to make a difference everyday. I want my family to be proud and I want to be able to provide more. I'm looing at things with fresh eyes. Life is more than hard work and no play.

I enjoy spending time with my best friend. He is two years old. When he was born, he became everything in my little world. While I'm home I love to sing and dance. I'll sing all day but I have a horrible voice. If you'd ask one of my closest friends about me they'd say I'm loving, caring, happy, dependable and honest. I think I'm a very happy person, I'm just going through a lot right now. My co-workers tell me I deserve better and I have so much to offer. It just took so long for me to hear them and listen to myself.
I've waiting so long to finally go back to school. I'm happy I'm here and ready to become a better me.

I will move on and begin. I
   Know I can finish
Now that I'm ready and I understand
Opened my eyes and I see
   Where I need to go
   Money isn't everything
   Yes I can do it
    I know I can.
    Never give up!
    Never stop reaching
    Everyone is doubting me
    Reach for your goals
    Step forward
    Even when things get tough
    Learn from the hard times
    Finish
    Will you start!
    I'll get there
    Learn to keep growing
    Leap into your dreams
    Get
    Up!
    I won't give up
    Decide where I'm going I'll
    Eventually
    Make it
Even if it takes a while no one can stop
    Take everything in and
    Open your eyes
    This moment
    Here is mine
    Even if I get tired
    Right now I can't lose
    I need to win
    Give your all
    Hope
    This works out
    Days are passing and
    Everyday I'm working. I
Choose my future and I say what
    I become
    Sit back and still self
    I have to focus
    On the outcome
    Now I'm ready

  1. This affirmation was a little challenging. I'm used to writing free verse poem without rules. I'd try it again.

  2. Hi Tiffany,

I think our poem is great! It was a little challenging for me too, but that's the fun part. We in this course to be challenged! (And I hope you find it up lifting.)

    Excellent first post.

I like your blog as well. One quick suggestion: add some more pictures. Google some fun images and try to include one towards the top of each post, to draw your reader in.

This is a great start. Your poem has these awesome crescendo-like moments... Leap into your dreams!

I look forward to reading the next one.
